I suppose I should update
Well Fanime was a blast. I got to see friends and picked up lots of cool stuff. That's the good news. The bad news is that my Grandma was hospitalized and though she seems to be stablizing it looks like she is going to be in a recovery center for awhile. From there she may come back home for a bit or we may move her straight to a care-home. It's all a bit up in the air. I'm worried about her but it's honestly really nice to have a chance to get things back together around here. It's been fairly hectic lately and been hard to get things done with her around. On a lighter note I saw Elliot today. Got the money he owed me from con and had lunch at a nice Korean BBQ place while discussing various ideas. Livejournal? More like re-animated UndeadJournal
My LJ account lives! So my family has been utterly unreasonable lately and have been making it impossible to take care of my grandma properly. I'm tired of constantly being yelled at for no sane reason and thus am looking to move out. So if anyone happens to know anybody looking to move or looking for a roommate, please do let me know. School has been going decently though it's been hard to find to time to keep up with the work. Not sure I'll do that well this semester but at least I'm getting back into things. I really wish our school had a different C++ teacher though, I find the one we have almost impossible to learn from. Current Mood: stressed | | Tuesday, October 31st, 2006 | | 10:48 am |

Hail Eris!
Hail Eris, Goddess of Chaos and Destroyer of the Astronomical Status Quo! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eris_%28dwarf_planet%29Credit to Anna for being mentioning this to me. The way I see this whole Pluto fiasco, we're not loosing a planet, we're gaining a ton of dwarf planets. Current Mood: ecstatic | | Monday, July 3rd, 2006 | | 8:23 pm |
At Anna's
So I am at Anna's after delays due to sickness. It's been a busy couple weeks with workcamp and school and my grandma and getting sick but now I have my stuff here and tomorrow is a holiday so maybe I can finally relax a little. Anna and I are going to watch Dr. Who in a little bit so that should be fun. Current Mood: relieved | | Friday, June 16th, 2006 | | 7:26 pm |
Workcamp Report
It's time I dusted off this LJ of mine. So I am workcamp right now which apparently has internet now which is nice. I thought I would post here and let everyone know I am doing okay and still plan to be back on Sunday in the late afternoon/early evening. It's nice up here, mostly things are the same. There are a lot of chickens this year but only one cat and no dogs. The garden is doing nicely and I havested and planted lettuce this morning. Food is good. I am getting to see people I haven't seen in awhile. I feel like I have a lot to do at home but knowing I will be back soon enough, I don't feel so stressed. I may join the soccer game in progress now or I may just chill and play tomorrow instead. Anyway, see you all soon, byebye. Current Mood: content | | Friday, February 10th, 2006 | | 5:53 pm |
I took this test because it looked interesting and I liked the art. I definettely getting more deliberate in my fashion sense than I thought. Fashion Artist 33% Tastefulness, 77% Originality, 69% Deliberateness, 45% Sexiness | [Flamboyant Original Deliberate Prissy]
To you fashion is not what they think up in Paris or New York. You follow only your instincts and taste and, admit it, they are far from conventional. Clothes are one of the methods of expressing your personality and being interesting is even more important than being attractive. You pay attention to compose such outfits that would express you best. You tend to shock and though many appreciate your style and originality not many follow in your footsteps. Perhaps your flamboyant outfits are partly meant to hide some of your insecurity but be that as it may, few pass you on the street without looking back. Good job.
The opposite style from yours is Sporty Hottie [Tasteful Conventional Random Sexy].

Update and Starcontrol
I live but I have been very busy and without much internet. I will be at game on Sunday (To Izzie: With money for donation items and paying you back) though and I am mostly doing alright. Here's a cool Star Control quiz a friend of my is working on... At heart, I am . . .Neep-eep the Yehat

The Yehat are proud warriors, ever loyal to their clans and to their Queen. They are responsible for discovering and uplifting the Shofixti, whom they consider their adopted children. The Yehat were indispensible to the Alliance of Free Stars during the Free War, and their Starfaring Clans were mortified when their Queen chose to surrender to the Ur-Quan for the sake of peace. Summer school is over
Okay so it was over on Thursday, Wedsnday really since when I got class on Thursday it was cancelled that last day. But then I was writing until the end of Thursday so I guess that was when it ended. In any case I got my work in and got an A so I am happy. Now I get to worry about housing and jobs and next semester... Okay I need to relax a little too. If I can get housing and job squared away I will be set, presummuing I can manage my stress okay this next semester. Doing well in a not so demanding Philosophy class was nice after nearly falling apart during last Spring semester. Oh and my birthday is tomorrow. I really need to be better about announcing these things. Current Mood: busy | | Saturday, July 16th, 2005 | | 11:09 am |
It's an Update!
Okay so I admit I am generally bad about updates. Trying to be better but we'll see how it goes... I have school off next week because we need to stop talking and start writing, so we get 4 writing assignments and no class. Since writing isn't so hard this should give me a little time to relax. I wish Anna could have a week off schoool. Poor girl, she's been so stressed and I just don't know what to do about it. She acquired Robo Rally however and we got to play on Friday (just as well since I totally botched my attempt to run Changeling) and it was a blast. I am so glad they rereleased that game. On Thursday I went clothes shopping with Li-chi. I had a lot of fun and got some neat things. I only found one skirt I liked that fit but then the amount of things that did fit in general was reassuring. I need to start putting more effort into a job and housing searches, hopefully I can take advantage of next week being off to do so. Progress on DSW is slow but steady, every playtest prompts a flood of revisions and while the game is now pretty much playable I wish it wasn't nessicary to revise the card text after every couple games. I put out the last revision awhile ago and was hoping it would last but I am already almost done with the next one. I plan to intentinally delay it a little so that we can get a couple more games in and use that data in the revision. This gives us longer to work with the current rules and hopefully means this next batch will last longer. Current Mood: thoughtful | | Thursday, June 23rd, 2005 | | 9:24 pm |
School
I survived my first week of philosophy and got all my work done. It was actually a lot of fun. I found a logical counter to Xeno's first paradox. Parameindes and Xeno had some weird ideas. Unfortunettely my fincial aid is gonna take forever and I didn't get to see Anna or Li-chi really this week. I will get to them tomorrow atleast. I like school and might even be able to handle a job if I can find one that works with my schdule. I can probably find work in an afterschol program come Fall in nothing else which will allow me to support myself when my mom moves out of state soon. So it was a good weeked, busy but fulfilled and I am looking foward to the weekend. Current Mood: accomplished | | Saturday, June 11th, 2005 | | 11:13 am |
Anna took me to dinner with Lois McMaster Bujold and her fan club last night before the book signing. I managed to not be too intimidated and we went to a great Thai place. It was a lot of fun getting to meet the author and Anna's online friends. After the booksigning we hung out and some people had crepes (I was still full from dinner). We got back late but it was lots of fun. Current Mood: happy | | Friday, June 10th, 2005 | | 9:14 am |
School... and other stuff
So I really gotta be more organized about school, I am still recovering from last semester and not really ready for summer school though. I have another week atleast. Then again it's not my fault my mom is taking over a week to get me her f-ing finicial information. Still I went to sign up for classes yesterday and the councilor wrong about them offering Precalc. It's Precalc with Analytical Geometry which has different prereqs and is 5 units, unfortunettley she was right about it being full, so are all 5 statistics courses for the summer. So what do I get... Introduction to Philosophy, not bad really, something I want to take and fulfills requirements but I feel like everyone is expecting me to take math. It's also only 3 units so I have to resumbit some fincial aid stuff I had turned in and will get less fincial aid. No, they are no offering cake decorating or any other 1 unit classes I want to take over the summer. So after all this I am going to try and get signing up for fall taken care so I know what I am taking and get in before it fills up. I just never expected anything to actually be full because it hadn't happened to me before but there is so little offered over summer I guess it's to be expected. Still 3 units will be relaxing and I can recover from last semester and maybe seriously look into a job. I like school but last semester almost made me want to drop out, or alteast made me feel I wasn't competant enough to be in school. I hope to just keep going though and get through school eventually. I do need a job so I can afford rent so I can find a place to live, hopefully with friends. Speaking of which if anyone is interested or knows anyone who is let me know. Living closer to school and with friends would be nice though I am still really nervous about trying to balance school with a job. Back in Town
Con was great. I had a lot of fun and it was nice to get to see Li-chi so much. Heck, it was nice to be surronded by freaks for 4 days. Highlights: I got 2nd place in a button men tournament after learning the game that day. I got Soul Calibur II which I have been wanting for ages, it's for Gamecube not X-box though so I have to trade it in. I also got some cool buttons. The gaming room was fun, Zombies with all the expansions was a lot of fun but next time I want to start earlier than 2:00 in the morning. We played GMR and Lunch Money as well. Munchkin Bites unfortunettely lives up to it's name, the vampire rules drag out the game forever. Got to see some of Ghost in the Shell: Standalone complex and Rozen Maiden. The first one I have been itching to see and the second was just really cool though I hadn't heard of it before. Also saw ReDeath at last. Got to see the pilot of Firefly in our rooms and then some of Fruits Basket. Both shows are awesome, though for completely different reasons. Got to play Soul Calibur and other fighting games and also this really cute Japanesse drumming game. Overall it just really nice hanging out with people and playing games and seeing anime. I am totally coming back next year. Now I need to get around to cleaning my room and taking care of school, housing, and job (or atleast cash flow). Not a big deal, eager to move on and make up for last semester which really sucked. You Are The Outlaw "Sure, I'll do it. You travel your own path, separate from those around you, with your own reasons for doing what you do. Because of this and your own nature, it goes without saying that you are generally misunderstood. That does not matter much, though, as people love you for being who you are. I'm back!
My computer is working, my average mood is better and I have more time so I am going to get back to updating this regularly. Looking forward to Fanime these weekend. It's gonna be a blast, doing some packing now. I had a pretty emotional day but I am feeling quite good now. I should go to sleep soon so I am rested for the con. I need help
For those of you not already aware, my motherboard failed and I was worried it took my HD with it. Thankfully only the boot sector was lost but I still kinda need a working OS. Compaq's "Recovery" disk not only wants to reformat everything but will not work now that my original Compaq motherboard is dead. So, I have an XP serial # and own a copy of it legitly and yet I can't even use it. If any of you have a spare Windows XP CD and could get it to me (Hoping one of the Sunday gaming group can bring it tomorrow) it would be much appreciated. I should get it back to you within and week. Current Mood: distressed | | Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005 | | 4:14 pm |

Feeling better
I've been pretty depressed and stressed lately but spring break has begun. Now I have time to catch up on stuff, see people and just relax. I had dinner with LiChi today which was a lot of fun. Also my finacial aid money arived today which makes me less stressed. All in all things are looking pretty good at the moment. Current Mood: happy |
